D. G. Rossetti's Illustrations for Goblin Market

Dante Gabriel Rossetti's illustrations to his sister Christina Rossetti's poem Goblin Market (1862) are particularly interesting in the way in which they interpret the poem's sensuality. The sisters in Rossetti's illustrations look more like his Pre-Raphaelite "stunners" than girlish maidens.
