Meet the Editors

Ira Katznelson is Ruggles Professor of Political Science and History at Columbia University. A student of American political development in comparative and international perspective, his publications include City Trenches: Urban Politics and the Patterning of Class in the United States and Liberalism’s Crooked Circle: Letters to Adam Michnik. He is completing a book on the New Deal, the South, and the shaping of postwar liberalism in the United States.

Helen V. Milner is James T. Shotwell Professor of International Relations at Columbia University. Her interests include comparative and international politics and political economy. She is the author of Resisting Protectionism and Interests, Institutions, and Information: Domestic Politics and International Relations. She is currently working on the relationships among globalization, democratization, and inequality.
