StudySpace
The StudySpace student Web site provides students with the most comprehensive set of tools to help students Organize course content, Learn essential concepts, and Connect knowledge across chapters.
- Electronic Listening Guides. Depending on their subscription level, students can stream or download fully digital—and fully integrated—Interactive Listening Guides for nearly all major pieces in the textbook.
- Materials of Music Interactive—Now Online. Hands-on, interactive modules—covering essential musical concepts from tempo and melody to sonata-allegro form—allow students to manipulate music on-screen, then learn by viewing and hearing the results. And instead of being tied to a CD or DVD, students can now access the Materials of Music Interactive online.
- Listening Quizzes, with streaming music. These new “drop the needle” quizzes test students in their understanding of the major works in the Essential Listening Edition.
- Listening Activities. In contrast to the Listening Quizzes, the book’s Listening Activities test students’ understanding of musical concepts. So that students can get instant feedback and provide proof of their work to instructors, the activities from the book are available, and answerable, online. The music for these activities is online as well, giving students a seamless listening-and-review experience.
- Instrument Videos. These videos, recorded by students at the Eastman School of Music, show the instruments of the orchestra in action.
