Meet the Editors
David E. Shi is professor of history and president of Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. He is a specialist in cultural history and is the author most recently of Facing Facts: Realism in American Thought and Culture.
Holly Mayer is an associate professor of history at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her primary field is Early America, and she is the author of Belonging to the Army: Camp Followers and Community during the American Revolution.
