Meet the Editor

Joyce Carol Oates is the author of twenty-seven novels and many volumes of short stories, poems, essays, and plays. She has received numerous awards, including a National Book Award in 1970 for her novel them, the Rea Award for the Short Story in 1990, and the 1996 PEN/Malamud Award for lifetime achievement in the short story form. Oates is the Roger S. Berlind Distinguished Professor in the Humanities at Princeton University, where she teaches creative writing.
