Donald Pizer is Pierce Butler Professor of English at Tulane University, Emeritus. He is the author of The Novels of Theodore Dreiser, Realism and Naturalism: An Interpretation, and The Novels of Frank Norris. He is the editor of the Norton Critical Editions of McTeague and The Red Badge of Courage as well as numerous volumes of the works of Theordore Dresier, Frank Norris, Stephen Crane, Jack London, John Dos Passos, and Hamlin Garland.
