Meet the Editor
Donald Pizer is Pierce Butler Professor of English at Tulane University, where he has taught since 1957. He is the author of The Novels of Theodore Dreiser, Realism and Naturalism in Nineteenth-Century American Literature, and The Novels of Frank Norris, among others. He has edited the Norton Critical Editions of The Red Badge of Courage (with Sculley Bradley, Richmond Croom Beatty, and E. Hudson Long) and McTeague, as well as numerous volumes of the works of Theodore Dreiser, Frank Norris, Jack London, John Dos Passos, Stephen Crane, and Hamlin Garland.
