Highlights
Extensive use of case studies
Yohe continues to incorporate a wide variety of real-world business examples into the lessons. "Applied Perspectives" appear at the end of each major section and synthesize several chapters of material; shorter "Case Studies" often engage students at the beginning of a chapter; and brief "Examples" run throughout the text to help students apply microeconomics to current events, business news, and foreign affairs.
New pedagogy: "Micro Links"
These study aids make connections between new material and previously presented material, insuring that students understand how economic theories relate to one another; for example, the section on producer surplus refers back to an earlier discussion of consumer surplus.
Thoroughly revised sections
Chapters discussing strategic market behavior (Chapter 13), asymmetric information (Chapter 17), and auctions (also Chapter 17) have undergone major revisions.
Calculus Appendices
Appendices are included at the end of each chapter in which calculus-based calculations can be useful and effective.
