Welcome to the Psychology 6th Edition Website!

The DEMO Chapter is 2: Biological Bases of Behavior

Building upon the success of the Fifth Edition Student Website, the Sixth edition site adds more activities and animations, including new activities on pitch, perception, gender identity, and correlations. In addition, two new series of feature articles by text authors Henry Gleitman and Dan Reisberg focus on contemporary psychology and connections between psychology and the arts. Site features include:

  • Ample Review Materials – section-by-section chapter overviews, key term crosswords, and multiple-choice quizzes test students' understanding of chapter concepts
  • Activities – assignable exercises that reinforce key themes, animate hard-to-visualize ideas, and provide a further introduction into how psychological research is done.
  • Feature Articles two series, Exploring Contemporary Psychology and Psychology in the Arts, explore contemporary psychology and its application to issues that are of special interest to students. Icons in the margin of the textbook direct students to these readings.
  • Psychology in the News updates provide insights into current research endeavors. Articles are updated each week by Linda Murphy-Boyer (University of Toronto).
