President George W. Bush created the USA Freedom Corps in the aftermath of September 11, 2001, to encourage civic engagement in volunteer programs. Go to the Freedom Corps Web site at www.usafreedomcorps.gov and answer the following questions:

1. What is the USA Freedom Corps and what do they do?
2. Differentiate between Americorps, begun by President Clinton, and the USA Freedom Corps.
3. What is the Peace Corps? How does it differ from the USA Freedom Corps and Americorps?
4. Find an area that might interest you as a volunteer. What about that opportunity interests you?
