2. Many states are considering tougher voter requirements, including showing a valid government-issued ID (such as a drivers’ license or a passport) to vote. Which socioeconomic group is LEAST likely to have any such ID? Which party would benefit from making it more difficult for that group to vote? According to the chapter in your text, why would that party benefit from more strict voting requirements?
