What Government Does and Why It Matters
Express your opinion on a political subject by writing a letter to the editor of either a local newspaper or your school paper. The letter should be typed on white paper and be short and clear for the reader. Use the following format for a business letter and be sure to use the spell-checking and grammar-checking tools on your computer.

4. Does expressing a political opinion make you uncomfortable? Explain.
5. Do you think most Americans know enough about the issues so they can form opinions based on rational thought? Explain.
