What You Can Do

Many students think that government jobs are only for political science majors, but, in fact, government at all levels needs people with highly specialized skills. On the Internet, locate at least one government agency that relates to your college major. The easiest source for accessing the many federal agencies is the Web site www.lib.lsu.edu/gov/fedgov , maintained by Louisiana State University. Federal jobs can be found at www.fedworld.gov. Listed below are some examples of agencies that are of particular interest to a few career fields.
