Reduce Text Size Increase Text Size Email Print Page

September 11, 2001 changed the political landscape not only in terms of American foreign policy, but also in domestic policy. National priorities have shifted and requests for government assistance or government intervention have intensified despite a weak economy and shrinking federal revenues. Think of five business corporations or organizations affected by September 11, and then answer the following questions.

What is the name and type of organization?

How much has this organization or group donated to political campaigns (www.fec.gov)?

Can you think of any way this organization or group has benefited from government?

Fill out the above questions on the following worksheet.

  1. Is the list unbalanced, or does one side have a greater advantage? Explain.

  1. Which side do you think would gain more? Explain.
