Chapter Simulation

Introduction

Before beginning this simulation, be sure to read Chapter 6 on Public Opinion. Pay particular attention to the scientific means used to increase the validity of public opinion polling, as well as the effects of question wording and sample size.

In this simulation, you are cast in the role of poll supervisor at your political research firm. You will be making decisions about a poll commissioned by the governor’s office testing public opinion about the costs of prescription drugs.
