no rae pang: Literally ěsong room, a Korean style of karaoke performed with a small group of friends in a private rented room. ěNo rae pang also refers to the room where the karaoke takes place.


non-Western: A binary opposition used as a synonym for styles outside the Western classical music arena. An increasingly problematic term in an increasingly transnational world.


notation: The representation of musical sound in written form.


note: A single pitch, or the representation of a single pitch in musical notation.
