Chapter 16

Chapter 16: The Late Eighteenth Century: Haydn and Mozart

Listening Styles Quiz

The styles quizzes combine musical excerpts and, often, notation from Concise History of Western Music, 4th Edition.

The goal of each quiz is to understand all the underlying concepts of a work that represents a style of a particular style of an era.

There are several pathways in each quiz. If you misstep and answer a question incorrectly, then you will receive a set of questions designed to build conceptual knowledge that can be applied to other questions in the quiz.

Also note that these are practice quizzes and you can take them as often as you wish.

You will receive immediate feedback after each answer you type in, explaining why your answer is correct or incorrect, and pointing you to the relevent section in your textbook if you'd like to read more.

At the end of the quiz you may use the Norton Gradebook to share your results with your professor and track your progress.
