Chapter 19: A Hidden Reserve: Groundwater

Study Plan

Reduce Text SizeIncrease Text SizeEmailPrint Page

The basic purpose of this Study Plan is to help you learn more geology and do better in your class. Some general words of advice:

  • The more time you spend with a subject matter, the better you’ll know it. Any time spent with these resources will increase your knowledge.
  • Your active involvement in exploring these resources will help you tremendously. In learning, as in many areas of life, being a passive spectator just doesn’t get you as far as does active participation.
  • Do read your text—an obvious suggestion, but often overlooked. Read the entire chapter. Continuity counts. Piecemeal looking for answers to these exercises just doesn’t equal reading the chapter.
  • Go to class.
  • Start early and study often. Great athletes work out every day. Concert pianists practice daily. And A-students exercise their minds daily.
