BASIC FORMAT FOR AN ARTICLE
For most articles, you'll need to provide information about the
author, the article title and any subtitle, the periodical title,
any volume or issue number, the date, and inclusive page numbers.

A FEW DETAILS TO NOTE
- AUTHORS: If there is more than
one author, list the first author last-name-first and the others
first-name-first.
- TITLES: Capitalize the first
and last words of titles and subtitles and all principal words. Do
not capitalize a, an, the, to, or any
prepositions or coordinating conjunctions unless they begin a title
or subtitle. For periodical titles, omit any initial A,
An, or The.
- DATES: Abbreviate the names of
months except for May, June, or July: Jan., Feb., Mar., Apr., Aug.,
Sept., Oct., Nov., Dec. Journals paginated by volume or issue call
only for the year (in parentheses).
- PAGES: If an article does not
fall on consecutive pages, give the first page with a plus sign
(55+).
