American essayist and cartoonist. Kreider grew up in Baltimore, where he went to public schools before attending Johns Hopkins University's Writing Seminars program. For twelve years his satirical cartoons ran in the
Baltimore City Paper and other alternative weeklies; these have been collected in three volumes as The PainWhen Will It End? (2004), Why Do They Kill Me? (2005), and Twilight of the Assholes (2011). His cartoons and essaysabout politics, books, movies, and life in generalhave appeared in many periodicals, including Men's Journal, the Comics Journal, and the New York Times. Kreider's most recent book is a collection of essays and cartoons called We Learn Nothing (2012). See also timkreider.com.
