American food and travel writer. Goode grew up in New Jersey eating supermarket mac and cheese, frozen pizza, and tuna noodle casserole. He is a graduate of Vassar College, where he studied psychology because, he says, he was afraid of taking writing classes. Now Goode writes about every aspect of food and drink: pancakes and pasta, salsa and sushi, cocktails and coffee. He has written for the New York Times, Gourmet, Bon Appétit, Saveur, and many other publications. He has co-authored several cookbooks, including Truly Mexican (2011) and Tacos, Tortas, and Tamales (2012), both with Roberto Santibanez; Pok Pok: Food and Stories from the Streets, Homes, and Roadside Restaurants of Thailand (2013) with Andy Ricker; A Girl and Her Pig (2012); and most recently A Girl and Her Greens (2015).
