American poet and essayist. Bolina's parents immigrated to the United States from northern India and he was born and grew up in Chicago. He earned a B.A. in philosophy from Loyola University Chicago before going on to the University of Michigan for his M.F.A. increative writing and Ohio University for his Ph.D. in English. In his poems and essays, Bolina brings to light and challenges the hidden premises behind any too-easy understandings of the world, orof words. Bolina's poems have been collected in the volumes
