Chapter Six
Comparison and Contrast RealTime

| Visitors to the online auction house
eBay (www.ebay.com) compare and contrast like items that
different sellers offer
for sale. Visit the site and search for a specific item—a
Stieff Teddy bear, for example. Compare and contrast two
different listings for the same item. Which item would you
buy and why? Consider more than differences in price. Do
both listings include a picture? How informative are the
descriptions provided? What are the shipping costs and purchasing
procedures? Is there a way to judge the reliability and trustworthiness
of each seller? If the seller who posted the item you chose
not to purchase were to ask you to explain your decision,
how would you respond? Print this page |
