The Editor

HUGH MACLEAN is Distinguished Teaching Professor Emeritus at the State University of New York at Albany. He has also taught at the Royal Military College of Canada and the University of Cincinnati. His numerous publications include articles and essays in professional journals here and abroad. He is editor, with Anne Lake Prescott, of the Norton Critical Edition of Edmund Spenserís Poetry and is a co-editor of The Critical Reader.
