Real Audio - Prelude and Fugue in C Major,
Fugue
No two Bach fugues are alike, either in subject or in treatment. But as in any fugue, the melody is passed between various parts. In an organ fugue, the organist must control all these parts simultaneously. After the subject is presented by itself, it goes to two successive lower parts, and then finally appears in the highest part.
