Give this time of year
good feelings and great cheer.
For as one looks above,
where sits the hawk and dove,
Is red and tangerine
where once was only green.
And as opposed to noise
made by fathers, sons and boys,
Is a quiet fall of leaves,
out of the wise old trees.
