I just started David Weber's The Shadow of Saganami, in the Honor-Harrington universe obviously, and saw that the dedication reads

For Anne McCaffrey,
because ideas, like dragons, fly,
and you helped give mine wings.

Thought I was reading an Elizabeth-Moon novel for a second.
