Cloud Oak Commemorative

Located throughout Rêves are tracts of cloud oaks. These trees manufacture lighter-than-air gases which keep their branches buoyant. As they approach maturity their trunks and root systems atrophy and become epiphytic in nature, dependent on the atmosphere for nourishment. Occasionally in extreme old age a tree will sever its contact with the ground entirely and drift off to found a new colony. These trees are revered for their beauty and also as a constant source of fuel for Rêverian dirigibles.

Postal stamps serve a dual function for Rêverians. The stamps alone or in combination can carry a message, ask a question, or make a request. They also function in a normal capacity to pay for the cost of postage. The above examples may be interpreted as it is time to send a letter, by air, or then again could be saying something else altogether. Like many things Reverian, appearances can be deceiving.
