Architectural Surfaces: Details for Artists, Architects and Designers
Judy A. Juracek

Praise for Architectural Surfaces:
"It’s Sunday afternoon and you are working on your 10 am Monday presentation. You have an idea of what you want to do, but you have to put together some details to win them over. You have pulled out every book and magazine you have stashed in your office ... and still, you just can’t seem to find the right images. Well, your problem has just been solved." —The Statement , Wilsonart International (Read full review)
"[O]utstanding.highly recommended . . . . Professionals and students alike
will appreciate the illustrated glossary of technical terms, and the wealth of
illustration packs four to six good-sized photos on almost every page."
—California Bookwatch
"The Surfaces series has proved to be useful to a wide range of artists
including set designers and trompe l'oeil artists, architects and graphic
designers. . . [and] also attracted an audience of graphics professionals who
work primarily in computer applications such as CAD and Photoshop, as well as
artists and designers who create computer environments, including animators and
video game designers. . . . In addition to providing the excellent images for
reference, and the additional resources, Juracek's Architectural Surfaces
implicitly reminds artists, architects and designers to observe surfaces, study
buildings' elements and look closely at the resolution of details."
—Clem Labine's Period Homes
"Not only is it a fantastic research source, it's a beautiful photography
book and a fascinating travelogue. It's difficult to imagine a more enjoyable
reference book for those of us in the visual arts."
—Theatre Design & Technology: USITT Magazine
